Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt quote and a poem

Nobody
the name of the
fool

who
bullies and
sneaks under
skin

because of their
fear-driven
panic

of being

Nobody

For more of my fledgling poetry, see So Beauty Grows and Love In Ten Lines, thank you.

Do you write, read, or enjoy poetry? Do you have a favorite poet or poem? Do you enjoy quotes? Do you have a favorite?

  1. Oh this was nice. I have the pleasure of being friends with several poets who have published multiple volumes. But one of my favourite poets that I think you would love is Sharon Olds. Her stuff is graphic and brutal and brilliant. And I don’t know her at all so my recommendation is no too biased.

  2. Really like this Angie, nice work! I like Pablo Neruda’s, my favorite Sonnet: XVII.
I prefer quotes to poetry, short, concise and to the point of whatever thought, feeling or emotion you are expressing.

  3. I have two quotes that mean a lot to me. One is for my professional life and the other is for my personal.

Professional: Leadership is action, not position.

Personal: Do not pray for an easy life. Pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.
