Sun is shinin’ in the sky, there ain’t a cloud in sight. Where Headspace and ELO meet. [Video]

The big blue western sky is one of my favorite things about Arizona, and life in general. Here are two more blue sky connections that I love.

I mentioned that part of my morning routine includes meditation via Headspace. The above video is part of the introductory lessons and is referred to throughout different series. Life isn’t always easy but the blue sky is still there, without fail, blue sky.

When my oldest son was in high school and wanted suggestions for a baseball walk-up song, I suggested Mr. Blue Sky. I could picture him knocking the ball out of the park into the big blue sky! While he politely (if you think laughing is polite) declined (not menacing enough, I suppose) he has assured me that it is on his list of possible pitching walk-out songs for college. In this case, may the sun shine down on his pitching and the baseballs stay far away from the blue sky 😀

What kind of sky do you love? Do you use Headspace or take time daily to quiet your mind? Are you a fan of ELO?

Wishing you a sunny weekend ~~~~~~~~ Angie Mc

  1. If your son adopts ELO’s “Mr. Blue Sky” as his walk-out mound song in college, he officially will go down as coolest pitcher of this decade in my book, Angie McFly ey-ey-ey. Long live Jeff Lynne’s genius with Electric Light Orchestra.

    • When that day comes, Mark, you will be among the first to know! Aiden told me his fastball will need to be on fire to get away with that walk-out, lol. Here’s to something in the high 90’s 😀

  2. Love the blue sky (and ELO), but we’ve had weeks of it here without rain, very rare for this time of year in the northeast. So much so, that in passing by the owner of a tanning shop the other day, I pointed to the sky and said, “Your competition’s a bitch this year, isn’t it ?” She gave me a weak smile and turned her leathery face as she unlocked her shop. ☺ Have a great weekend, Angie 🌞🌎 🌞🌎 ☀️🌎

  3. Hey angie mac – I am not sure I know that ELO song – sure was upbeat 🙂 – and I like how you said “may the sun shine down on his pitching and the baseballs stay far away from the blue sky” ha

  4. I’ve not heard of Head Space, but I can say that after having dark nights of the soul for far too long, blue skies are wonderful and joyful.

And I miss ELO. They were one of the more awesome bands when I was younger. 🙂
