Waiting for a first baby to arrive brings eager anticipation and fun projects.  Yesterday my daughter made a gorgeous fruit tart. Today, we’re listening to songs that include the word “baby” and are connected to past generations of our family. I’ll spare you the inside jokes about Bread and Vanilla Ice, the stories of my first “rock concert” (Frampton Comes Alive), and how, as a teen, I wished I could sing like Chrissie Hynde. Instead, I’ll just hope that one of these tunes makes you smile.

Baby Love ~ The Supremes

I Got You Babe ~ UB40 & Chrissie Hynde

Baby Hold On ~ Eddie Money

Baby I Love Your Way ~ Peter Frampton

Baby I’m-a Want You ~ Bread

Don’t Worry Baby ~ Beach Boys

Ice Ice Baby ~ Vanilla Ice

Somebody’s Baby ~ Jackson Browne

This post is Dedicated to the One/s I Love …

And I can’t wait to meet you, baby ❤

Do you have a favorite song connected to waiting for a sweet baby?

Have a terrific weekend, all ~~~~~~~~ Angie Mc (PS If you don’t hear back from me for a bit, I appreciate your well wishes for a safe delivery.  And, I’m sending you my best.)

  1. Christie Hyne hymn to her is a great song and baby can I hold you by Tracy chapman is a favorite of mine. I am also reminded of songs that were popular when each of my babies were born. Thanks for the memories.

    • Thanks so much, Cat! I’m originally from back east so that explains my Eddie Money connection 🙂 And, yes, my daughter had her baby, Henry, so I’m a grandmother, just like that! Always glad to see you and have a great weekend ❤
